Eliza is a registered psychologist who approaches therapy from a person-centred, trauma informed lens. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental and therefore prioritises an approach based on empowerment and collaboration. She believes that people are the experts of their own experience and healing can happen when that is honoured by providing a safe, accepting, and therapeutic space for clients to reflect, be heard and explore. Eliza is a strong believer that therapy works when client and practitioner come together as a team in a non-judgemental environment. Eliza draws from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailors therapy to each individual client depending on their needs. These approaches include but are not limited to Person-Centred therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Eliza's experience and areas of interest include: domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, general wellbeing issues, adjustment to life changes and stressful life changes, body image issues, emotional difficulties, low self- esteem, stress management and burnout.
