Suicide

Suicide

Suicide is one of the most significant public health issues facing us today. It affects us across all demographics in every culture across the world. Our reasons for thinking about suicide are as complex and varied as we are.

Each day, Australia loses 8 people to suicide.

Men account for three quarters of these suicides.

In addition, there are 178 recorded suicide attempts in Australia daily.

Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44, outweighing car accidents and other natural causes.
